*Rebuilding Together Montgomery County - is a volunteer organization that works in partnership with the community to address the needs of low-income homeowners, primarily the elderly, disabled, and families with children. RTMC is committed to helping Montgomery County residents who have worked hard to own their own homes but whose failing health or fixed income does not allow them to cover the extraordinary costs of home repair.
RTMC performs home repairs and home modifications such as the installation of wheelchair ramps and grab bars to improve safety and accessibility. Where necessary, we provide referral to social service providers to address other issues the homeowner is experiencing. All services are provided free of charge to eligible homeowners.
*Haitian Relief Effort - Rebuilding Together is currently accepting donations in support of relief efforts in Haiti.
Donations made through Rebuilding Together will be dedicated to addressing three core activities:
Emergency Medical Assistance
Community Clean Up
Neighborhood Rebuilding
*Green Gala Save the Date! -
As a means to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County invites you to join us at The Green Gala on March 13th from 6pm - 11pm. Here we will honor our history of providing quality and life-saving home repair services to the low-income families of Montgomery County, all while enjoying a cocktail reception, seated dinner, dessert buffet, and live music and dancing. The event will be held at the Tower 2000 Building - the first Platinum LEED Certified Building in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Tours of the building will be provided.  *Seal of Excellence - Rebuilding Together Montgomery County has been awarded the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organization's Seal of Excellence for successfully completing the Standards of Excellence certification program. (read press release)
*Tribute to America's Veterans Benefit Concert - RTMC was selected as the recipient of this year's concert proceeds! County Executive Ike Leggett awarded RTMC a certificate of appreciation for working to make the homes of our veterans safe and accessible. Thanks to Lorrie Knight-Major for nominating us and to our Board President, Bob Quinn, who gave a beautiful acceptance speech!
