Urgent Need for Cribs: A Wider Circle has received more than a half dozen calls in the last week from agencies that can no longer find or provide basic items for young mothers and their babies. Fortunately, A Wider Circle has been able to respond with cribs, changing tables, strollers, etc., but anticipates that the need far exceeds their current supply.  Cribs and all baby items can be dropped off at A Wider Circle's Center for Community Service located at 9159-C Brookville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910. For questions or to schedule a pick-up of items that can not be dropped off, please contact their office at: 301-608-3504.

Fire Safety in the home –Safety in the home is one of the important goals of RTMC, so we would like to share a segment on Fire Safety brought to us by the TODAY show and Montgomery County Interim Fire Chief Richard Bowers.  The purpose of the segment was to show residents how to respond to house fires in order to ensure safety of families members.

The segment can be seen on the Montgomery County website blog at: http://mcfrs.blogspot.com/2008/12/surviving-house-fire.html
