On July 8th, loan mortgage corporation Freddie Mac sponsored a home in Silver Spring: RTMC would like to extend a warm thank you to the volunteers from the Freddie Mac call center who diligently and enthusiastically made accessibility repairs to the home of a senior husband and wife in Silver Spring.
A group from Rockford, Michigan spends a week repairing homes in Montgomery County: Our Lady of Consolation in Rockford, Michigan worked on five homes during the week of June 22nd-26th. During that time, the group of 10 painted, installed grab bars, fixed door jams, and more, all to ensure the safety of Montgomery County homeowners.
RTMC Executive Director graduated from Leadership Montgomery County: RTMC is excited to announce that Susan Hawfield, Executive Director, recently graduated from the year long leadership program. Leadership Montgomery provided Susan with a greater familiarity with the resources and services within the county as well as tools and contacts to access these resources. Leadership Montgomery also assisted RTMC in developing a teambuilding model for our corporate partners.

Volunteer Opportunities: We are looking for a few good men (or women!).
Painting Crew – this includes interior and exterior painting and deck staining/powerwashing
Home Mods Squad – Many of our senior and disabled homeowners require grab bars and railings to be installed in their homes to prevent falls and keep them safe.
De-cluttering Crew – We occasionally have homeowners who need help clearing spaces in their home before other repairs are done.
The St Rose Furniture ministry is providing gently used furniture to families in need. Since recently re-opening, requests for furniture have far outpaced donations, especially for beds and dressers.
